Sausage Cassoulet
British pork sausages in a tomato and bacon sauce with cannellini and butter beans. (270g)
Description
A hearty stew of British pork, sage & parsley sausages in a rich, flavourful stock & chopped tomato sauce with Oak-smoked bacon, carrot, onion & celery. Paired with cannellini and butter beans and seasoned with oregano and cracked black pepper this makes for a tasty version of this humble dish from France.
Our Serving Suggestion Try it on its own or with some buttered garden peas and mop up the delicious juices with some garlic butter ciabatta. This simple, humble one pot dish is wonderfully seasoned and needs little more than a small handful of fresh flat leaf parsley and some finely zested orange
Our Drinks Pairing If you don't drink beer then a hearty red like Malbec would pair well or indeed a white like Chardonnay. Cider would also be a perfect partner to the seasoned, herby pork sausages
