Break the Fast!

Many of us grow up believing that skipping breakfast is a dietary travesty yet only two thirds of adults in the UK eat breakfast regularly, according to the Association of UK Dieticians. ‘Breaking the Fast’ when we wake up helps boost our energy levels and top up the nutrients that we store while we sleep.

Why is breakfast important?

  • eating regular meals allows our body to recognise signs of hunger and fullness.
  • breakfast offers an opportunity to fuel and nourish our body with important vitamins, minerals and fibre.
  • a morning meal can give us the energy to concentrate on the day ahead.

The main reasons we tend to skip breakfast is that we don’t have time to make it or that we just don’t feel hungry and so we have the perfect solution!
